- Samsung S95F, S90F and S85F are compatible G-Sync certified
- Firmware updates will allow certified compatible mode
- 2025 OLEDS only, not the NEO QLED televisions
Regarding the best game televisions, the TV we recommend for most players is the LG C4. Samsung does not arrive in our first three, but that can change: Samsung OLED 2025 televisions are now officially compatible with NVIDIA G-SYNC.
I say “officially” because the equipment was already inside them; What is new is official test and certification by Nvidia. But it is always notable because it brings Samsung’s OLEDs together much closer to LG in terms of support for the game – although there is always one thing that LG does and that Samsung does not do it.
It is important to note that certification applies only to OLED televisions, and not to NEO QLED televisions (which is the term SAMSUNG for mini-diriged televisions). And for the moment, it is only for Samsung 2025 models, such as the Samsung S95F and Samsung S90F.
What game features have Samsung Oled televisions?
For 2025, Samsung Oled TVs have HDMI 2.1, VRR, AMD Freesync Premium Pro and G-Sync. VR and Freesync / G-Sync are important because they correspond to the refreshing rate of the TV at the Images Frequency of the GPU, and that synchronization reduces stuttering and screen tear.
As Flatpanelleshd reports, Samsung Oled 2025 TVs support VRR, including G-Sync up to 165hz, but it’s only for PC players. The PS5 and Xbox series X series only up to 120 Hz and have no G-Sync anyway.
Samsung 2025 televisions also have cloud game applications, although they do not currently benefit from variable refresh rates.
Although Samsung gets this key PC game certification, there is always a key difference between LG and Samsung TVS for games: Dolby Vision Gaming. LG does it up to 4K 120 Hz, and Samsung does not do it at all.
This will mainly be used by Xbox players, because it is available in the Xbox Series X – If you want to take advantage of it, LG sets remain the best bet for you among the best OLED TV.
G-Sync compatible televisions are the Samsung S95F, S90F and S85F. The S95F lighthouse will be the first to obtain the firmware update allowing the certified G-Sync compatible mode, the other two following shortly after.
