- A IU 8 should provide new features to the bar now
- The software can also solve a problem with the secure file
- A UI 8 asset for watches has also disclosed
With a user interface 7 (based on Android 15) which only heads for older Galaxy handsets, Samsung is already preparing an 8 user interface (based on Android 16) – and there are key upgrades in the pipeline for phones and watches.
We know that Google plans to push Android 16 very soon, in front of the Pixel 10 phones, and it seems that Samsung is eager to catch up. There were rumors that an IU 8 could be launched with the Next Galaxy Foldable in July.
Let’s start with the bar now, the dynamic locking widget added in a UI 7. According to @ topraks9plus on social networks (via 9TO5GOOGLE), the WIGGET UI 8 version will add the possibility of displaying telephone calls and not to disturb “.
Both would be useful additions. Currently, the bar now can display live updates from applications such as Samsung Health and Google Maps, but more information is available on the lock screen, the better.
Phones and watches
In addition, a social article from @Devofipos (via Android Authority) suggests that the secure file in a user interface 8 will be based on the private space function in Android 15. It would be a small change, but that would solve one of the few confidentiality problems with a secure file.
Currently, applications and files in a secure folder can be exposed in certain scenarios. Samsung has not publicly recognized the problem, but it seems that it is about to solve it.
We have also seen assets for a disclosed UI 8 watch, again disclosed by @devofipos (via sambobile). There are new system sounds, refined application icons and more clues that Gemini will soon appear on Galaxy watch devices.
Samsung has not yet updated any of its Galaxy watches in One Ui 7, and it looks almost some that portable devices like the Galaxy Watch 7 will go directly to an IU 8 instead. We can expect more leaks in the near future, and I hope that certain official news also soon.
