Samsung just revealed its new OLED TVs at CES 2026, including the flagship Samsung S95H OLED TV.
Like the previous model, it’s available in 55-, 65-, 77-, and 83-inch sizes, and Samsung promises it’s up to 35 percent brighter than the previous Samsung S95F, which was already the brightest OLED TV on the market. It will also have a new generation of image processor to improve the image.
It will also have a metal bezel around the frame and support Samsung’s Art Mode – a first for the company’s OLED TVs.
It’s a real shame to lose this for those who were looking for a super polished solution, and if Samsung keeps the same price for the S95H as the S95F, it seems like a degradation in value.
However, some PC enthusiasts will appreciate this change, as the One Connect box has an HDMI bandwidth throttling that could be an issue in some cases (although it won’t make any difference for general TV use).
Samsung takes, but Samsung gives
But it’s not all bad news. This change also means that Samsung is introducing a new option on the S95H: you can optionally purchase and use Samsung’s new Wireless One Connect box, and in doing so, double the number of HDMI ports you have.
The wireless box first appeared on Samsung The Frame Pro and Samsung QN990F TVs last year and is capable of streaming lossless 4K 165Hz HDR images to the display from its range of HDMI connections; it works a bit like the One Connect box, but wireless.
But it’s not the wireless that’s the upgrade here (although some will love it): it’s the fact that you can combine the TV’s built-in HDMI ports with the Wireless One Connect box.
This means you can have eight (!) full-power HDMI 2.1 ports connected to the Samsung S95H without having to worry about switch boxes. You’ll have to pay for the privilege, but some people will happily cough up for a truly seamless solution to the HDMI problem.
I have six devices that I want to connect to the four HDMI ports on my TV at home, for example: a soundbar, two streaming boxes (which serve different purposes), a PS5, a Switch, and a 4K Blu-ray player. It’s a lot, but at the same time, it’s not – I’m not that weird to have accumulated this stuff over time.
So while my first reaction when Samsung removed the (single) jack from the S95H’s One Connect box was negative, when the company told me that meant the ability to have eight HDMI ports all accessible like normal ports in the TV menu, I think I’m now generally on board with the whole deal.
The Samsung S95H doesn’t have a price or release date yet, but Samsung typically launches its flagship OLED TVs in February or March.
