Samsung has launched a new robust tablet with a 10.1 -inch LCD TFT Wuxga screen with an appearance ratio of 16:10, an adaptive cooling rate up to 120 Hz and a touch sensitivity for gloves under 2 mm thick and wet screen – but not submarine.
There are not many robust tablets of big brands, so it’s great to see the Galaxy Tab Active5 PRO specially built for difficult environments. It has an IP68 note for resistance to dust and water, a MIL-STD-810H certification for sustainability in extreme conditions, and Gorilla Glass Vict + to protect the screen from scratches and disinfectants such as ethanol and whitening cleaners.
The power supply should not be a problem, because the tablet includes a distributed battery of 10,100 mAh which supports the double hot cradle, allowing a battery to be modified without powering the device. A Pogo Pin interface supports the load based on the platform, although the quay is sold separately.
3.5 mm helmet socket
It is not a device aimed at competing with general public tablets in raw performance. It is powered by a Snapdragon 7S Gen 3 4 Nm chip, associated with 6 GB or 8 GB of RAM and 128 GB or 256 GB of storage, expandable via microSD up to 2 TB. This chip offers mid -range performance and is under the Snapdragon 7+ Gen 3 and Snapdragon 8 series in the qualcomm range.
For connectivity, the tablet supports 5G (sub6), LTE, Wi-Fi 6th, Bluetooth 5.4 and NFC with the front marking. It also supports both physical SIM and ESIM, although ESIM availability can vary depending on the region. Navigation is covered by GPS, Glonass, Galileo, Beidou and Qzss, although the satellite cover can differ depending on the location.
The Galaxy Tab Active Active 5 includes a 3.5 mm headphone jack, an increasingly rare functionality in modern devices. Samsung has retained the port specifically for front -line workers who are on wired helmets where Bluetooth can be unreliable or restricted.
Do not expect photography at the flagship of the Galaxy Tab Active5 Pro. This productivity -oriented tablet includes a 12MP rear camera and an 8 MP front sensor. However, it is delivered with a pen IP68 for added features.
Weighing approximately 680g, the tablet also supports a 3.2 USB type C port, Samsung Knox and Knox Vault for improved safety, an RGB light sensor and a programmable active key for quick access to the functions defined by the user.

The Galaxy Tab Active5 Pro will be available from April 2025, with a recommended retail price of £ 769 in the United Kingdom. American prices have not yet been confirmed.
