Sana urges PML-N and PPP to reconcile

Adviser to the Prime Minister on Political Affairs, Rana Sanaullah, urged the PML-N and the PPP to put aside their differences and "move forward" of the Sindh-Punjab dispute. Speaking to a private news channel, the senior PML-N leader said: "Today’s political leaders should sit down at the table and solve their political problems, and in solving them they should chart a path forward.". He added that "there will be no interference from that side," apparently referring to the establishment, and argued that the neighborhood would rather "provide help" if politicians settled their differences. When asked if the tensions were linked to speculation about Chief of Army Staff Field Marshal Asim Munir becoming president, Sanaullah dismissed the rumours, saying the matter had already been denied by "the quarters concerned". He clarified that the army chief "has no personal agenda and this talk is completely false that he has [other] intention or program". The advisor added that the army chief "go home" retired and "he has absolutely no intention of coming to the Prime Minister’s House or the President’s House".
