Saudi Arabia has temporarily suspended the issuance of short -term visas for citizens in 14 countries, including Pakistan, as of April 13, as part of measures to manage travel flows before the Hajj season, according to Gulf News.
The prohibition applies to visit visas to a single and multiple entry company, electronic visas and family visit visas. The affected countries include India, Egypt, Pakistan, Yemen, Tunisia, Morocco, Jordan, Nigeria, Algeria, Indonesia, Iraq, Sudan, Bangladesh and Libya.
The travelers of these nations who already hold valid short -term visas will be allowed to enter the kingdom until April 13, but who must leave at the latest on April 29.
The decision follows overcrowding at Hajj from last year, when many pilgrims entered using non -hajj visas, supporting the logistical capacity of Saudi Arabia.
Saudi authorities said the temporary moratorium was aimed at improving coordination and ensuring security during the annual pilgrimage.
