Saudi commander hails Pakistan Army’s role in regional peace during meeting with Field Marshal Munir

Marshal Munir expresses satisfaction for “strong defense collaboration” and stresses need for cooperation

Commander of the Royal Saudi Land Forces, Lieutenant General Fahad bin Saud Al-Johani, praised the professionalism of the Pakistan Army and “appreciated the positive role played by Pakistan in regional peace and stability” during his meeting with Chief of Defense Forces, Field Marshal Asim Munir, at the General Headquarters, the military’s media wing said in a statement on Wednesday.

According to the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), the two sides discussed issues of mutual interest, regional security and prospects for expanding bilateral defense cooperation.

Both commanders reiterated their commitment to strengthening what the ISPR described as “long-standing fraternal relations” between the armed forces of Pakistan and Saudi Arabia.

Field Marshal Munir expressed satisfaction over the “strong defense collaboration” between the two militaries and stressed the need for continued cooperation in training, capacity building and intelligence sharing, the statement said.

Meanwhile, the General Commander of the Bahrain National Guard, Sheikh Mohammed bin Isa bin Salman Al Khalifa, met with the Chief of Defense Forces, Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir, during a visit to the headquarters in Rawalpindi.

According to the ISPR, the two leaders held in-depth discussions on issues of mutual interest, regional security and opportunities for strengthening bilateral defense cooperation. Both sides reiterated their commitment to expanding the ongoing military collaboration between the armed forces of Pakistan and Bahrain.

During the meeting, the Bahraini commander praised the professional capabilities of the Pakistan Army and recognized “Pakistan’s positive role in regional peace and stability”, the ISPR said.

Field Marshal Munir highlighted the long-standing fraternal ties between Pakistan and Bahrain, saying Pakistan would “continue to cooperate with Bahrain in all fields”.
