A judicial agent, Waseemur Rehman Khan Khakwani, appointed to the deputation of the additional (judicial) court pristry, was relieved of his functions after only five months.
The post of additional (judicial) registrar is considered to be one of the most crucial in SC, because the officer in this role is responsible for setting business before the benches.
SC sources have told L’Express PK Press Club that Khakwani, a judicial agent of the judicial power of Punjab, became “victim of office policy”. Consequently, he asked the CJP Yahya Afridi to relieve him before finishing his term of deputation.
According to initiates, a powerful section within the SC administration has put pressure on the continuation of the former additional (judicial) Nazar Abbas registrar, who is currently Managing Director (legal wing) on a contractual basis.
Abbas was initially appointed for six months, a mandate that ended this month, but it has been an extension of one month for an extension.
Nazar Abbas has already made a judicial exam. A bench led by judge Syed Mansoor Ali Shah issued him a notice of non-compliance with a case in violation of a legal order.
Although the Opportices’ opinion was subsequently withdrawn, Abbas made an intra-short appeal before a bench of five larger judges led by judge Jamal Khan Mandokhail.
He finally withdrew his call, but the largest bench has not yet issued reasons in this area.
It is provided that the detailed judgment specifies that, following the 26th constitutional amendment, a regular bench cannot hear the cases involving the interpretation of the law and the constitution.
The sudden departure of Khakwani raised questions in legal circles on the reasons why he sought to resign prematurely, especially since the SC had published a detailed declaration at the time of his appointment highlighting his skills titles.

Currently, deputies occupy several key positions at the Supreme Court. The registrar SC itself is a retired official. This situation fueled the frustration among permanent employees of SC, who do not feel the deputists placed in the main roles.
Three higher permanent officers of the Court – Mujahid, Zulfiqar and Safdar – were also transferred to various registers.
