The hearing of the appeal against the criminal complaint filed by the Election Commission of Pakistan against Imran has also been fixed.
Imran’s appeal against the case registered against him under the Official Secrets Act and the National Accountability Bureau (NAB) case against the former prime minister in connection with the Al-Qadir Trust have also been fixed for hearing.
The court will also consider the appeal against the acquittal of PTI founder and former foreign minister Shah Mahmood Qureshi in the encryption case, as well as the government’s appeal against the ex-prime minister’s release on bail in the May 9 Lahore cases.
In the defamation case, Imran’s appeals against Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif have also been fixed for hearing.
The Registrar’s Office has sent notices to all affected parties and their attorneys regarding the upcoming hearings.
Imran has been imprisoned since August 2023 and is currently serving a sentence in Adiala Prison in a £190 million corruption case. Additionally, he faces ongoing trials under the anti-terrorism law over the May 9, 2023 protests. The party has in recent days expressed concern over Imran’s health and demanded that he be treated by its own team of doctors.
