SCBA suspends secretary for misconduct

ISLAMABAD:

The Supreme Court Bar Association (SCBA) has suspended one of its top officials – secretary Salman Mansoor – who had filed a petition against the 26th constitutional amendment without the body’s approval.

According to sources, the suspension was approved at the SCBA executive committee meeting. They said Mansoor had abused his position in violation of the association’s rules, adding that he had already been warned.

Salman Mansoor had filed a constitutional petition against the 26th constitutional amendment in his capacity as secretary without obtaining necessary approval.
