School employee arrested red-handed and accepted bribe

Retired teacher accuses head clerk Salman Memon of demanding Rs 80,000 to process her retirement documents

HYDERABAD:

A special team of the Anti-Corruption Institute of Hyderabad conducted a raid at Miran Government School, Hirabad, and arrested senior official Salman Memon and Naib Qasid Noor Muhammad while they were “taking bribes”.

According to anti-corruption sources, a retired teacher, Sehar Bano, had filed a written complaint stating that senior clerk Salman Memon had demanded and received Rs 80,000 on October 1, 2025 for processing documents related to her gratuity and other retirement clearances. She further alleged that she received an additional Rs 800,000 at different times.

The complainant said that in the final stages of the process, the employee continued to harass her and forced her to provide an advance check for Rs450,000, threatening her, if she did not pay the amount, to register a case against her and not disclose her service record.

After receiving the complaint, the Anti-Corruption Directorate opened an investigation and, in the presence of the civil judge concerned, carried out a search. During the operation, senior employee Salman Memon and Naib Qasid Noor Muhammad were caught red-handed with the check and cash allegedly received as bribe.
