Scottie Scheffler showed exactly what the third round of golf tournaments is called “Day Day” on Saturday.
Scheffler has a three -stroke advance in the PGA championship at Quail Hollow after having fired 65 to go 11 sous the tournament before the final round on Sunday.
Scheffler was composed throughout the third round, which included one of his best plans in the tournament: driving green in the 15th and preparing for an easy eagle putt. With three birdies also added on the map, Scheffler entered the clubhouse with a familiar position in the major ranking.

While the Tour of 6-sous de Scheffler was impressive, Alex Norén of Sweden posted 5 sous to win his place in the last couple on Sunday with Scheffler at 8 sous.
JT Poston and Davis Riley are tied to the third, while Liv’s golf star Jon Rahm found his AVC in majors after publishing 4 under Saturday to sit 6 under the tournament.

Jhonattan Vegas is also 6 sous, but he could have been able to win everything if it was not for his performance of 2 out of 2 Saturday.
The Venezuelan was the leader after two laps, which was mainly due to his departure from 7 under Thursday. But four bogeys on the map compared to two Birdies abandoned him in the ranking with a lot of work to do on Sunday if he wishes to win his first major in career.

But all the eyes will be on Scheffler, who will go on Sunday in the hope of winning his first major outside the Masters. Although he was the number one golfer on the planet, and his 2024 season saw him wear another green jacket and win the Fedex Cup, he has not yet won the PGA, US Open championship or the open championship.
And, of course, the PGA championship last year in Valhalla was a crazy start after being arrested while trying to enter the Louisville based golf club.
