Scheffler won the open championship for the first time in his career. The best finish he had previously was tied for the seventh year last year when the major event was played at the Royal Troon Golf Club in Scotland.
This year, Scheffler traveled the Fairways of Royal Portrush in Northern Ireland and made another day believe in the office.
He started behind the peloton with a 68 in the first round, but entered the area in the second round with a 64. His eight birdies in the second round propelled him into the ranking. A third round 67 put it in good affirmation to win the title.
Then, Sunday, it was a more consistent and solid game all around.
He finished with five birdies and a single double bogey in the round. He has never fogged down during the final round and no one really got on to catch it.
Scheffler won four victories in 2025. He won the Byron Nelson in May and followed this with a PGA championship. In June, he held Ben Griffin at the Memorial.
Harris English finished second with a peer of 13 sous. He pulled a 66 in the tournament final. It was the best finish of the major of his career. Before Sunday, his best finish arrived in 2013 when he was tied in 15th rank.

Chris Gottrup also experienced an incredible tournament, finishing 12 sous. He carded a last round 66 and finished in third place.
Liv golf star Bryson Dechambeau may have had a trouble to Royal Portrush, but he went up a mountainous mountain in the top 10 when his round was over.
He pulled a 78 in the first round and was near the classification when he entered the second round. However, a 65 in the second round helped him make the cut. He pulled a 68 in the third and a 64 in the final.
He won 24 places to enter equality for the 10th.

The open championship is the last major of the season. PGA Tour and Liv Golf Stars will now finish their seasons during their respective visits and head to the Ryder Cup at the end of September.
