Laura Dahlmeier, a double Olympic gold medalist, suffered serious injuries after her fall when she was at a strong altitude in the farm in Karakorum in northern Pakistan, in several reports.

Dahlmeier was presumed to be missing. The German media store ZDF reported that the overview data of the Tuesday helicopter concluded that the 31 -year -old was at the very least “seriously injured”.

A spokesperson for the Pakistani government said that she “had been taken by residents of the landslide site,” said Reuters. The representatives of Dahlmeier confirmed that it was at an altitude estimated at 18,700 feet at the time of the mountaineering accident.

“Laura Dahlmeier climbed with her mountaineering partner on July 28 when she was falling. The accident took place around noon at an altitude of approximately 5,700 meters [18,700 feet]”Dahlmeier’s management told ZDF in a statement.

Dahlmeier moved away from the professional competition in 2019. She cited the decrease in her global passion to play sports in her retirement ad.

“After an incredibly difficult season with a lot of ups and downs, I no longer feel the 100% passion that is necessary for professional sports. This is why after a long thought, I decided to end my active career in Biathlon,” said Dahlmeier in 2019.

She won gold medals at the 2018 Winter Olympic Games in Pyeongchang, where she marked history as a first biathlete woman to win a double sprint and prosecution in the same matches.

Dahlmeier is also an Olympic bronze medalist. She finished in third place in the individual event of 15 km during the 2018 Games.
