Savage Season 2 officially occurs, which could be a surprising news given that it should only be a limited series. But, not so surprising if it is considered that it has climbed at the top of Netflix graphics, by attracting 24.6 million views, and started to be one of the best Netflix series.
Season 1 saw Kyle Turner, an ISB agent, looking for a killer tray in the backdrop of the emblematic Yosemite National Park. After a young woman’s body was found, Turner quickly realizes that there is much more in the mystery than what first meets the eye. And while he attacks the dark secrets hidden in the park, he must also address those who haunt him. Although the final of season 1 seems quite conclusive, Turner has not yet finished solving mysteries.
So here is what we know so far Savage Season 2 from the potential release date, provided for distribution, news in history, rumors and more.
Season 2 Wild: Is there an release date?
When it comes to a Savage Date of release of season 2, there are not yet. But Netflix revealed that he was absolutely on the way.
Although it came to stream as a “limited series”, it has been proven that sometimes if viewers love it enough, there is still an opportunity for more. Even when the show seemed quite attached to the final of season 1.
In a statement on Tudum by the star of the show, Eric Bana, he said: “I am absolutely delighted that we have the chance to bring another season of Savage to life.
“The answer to season 1 was a testimony to the incredible effort of our crew to deliver something really unique. I can’t wait to take Kyle during her next trip.”
With season 1 only in July, I would predict that we will wait until 2027 for the next episode.
Season 2 UNTAMED: Has a trailer been released?
For Savage The trailer of season 2, the distribution and the team would at least wrapped up production to land. And, without any news from filming in sight, it will not drop for a while.
For season 1, a teaser fell a month before the release of the show on Netflix with a complete trailer a few weeks before. So be sure to go back and I will update here as soon as I hear more.
Season 2 jump 2: planned casting
Thanks to Tudum, we know that Eric Bana will resume his role as holder Kyle Turner investigating a whole new mystery. But, with regard to the rest of the distribution, it is difficult to say who will come back.
Here is the Savage Season 2 predicted the cast alongside the confirmed Bana:
- Eric Bana as Kyle Turner
- Rosemarie Dewitt like Jill Bodwin
- Ezra Wilson as Caleb
- Lily Santiago like Naya Vasquez
- William Smillie like Bruce Milch
- Raoul Max Trujillo like Jay Stewart
The viewers watched Turner leave Yosemite National Park in the final of season 1, leaving his colleagues and his ex-wife, Jill, behind. But, given the size of a role they played in Kyle’s life in season 1, they could return.
The co-creator Mark L. Smith told Tudum, with regard to the distribution of season 1: “We are trying to understand this thing because my God, we loved our casting and we loved the characters they learned. In an ideal world, we would be able to remove something.”
Kyle also had visions of his late son, Caleb, in season 1, and although he made the decision to continue to live his life despite his sorrow, Caleb could still have a role to play in the trip of Kyle.
A character who will not come back, of course, is Paul SUVER (Sam Neill) after the disturbing truth about his involvement in the death of Lucy Cooke was finally revealed. More about this below.
Season 2 Backup: Synopsis and rumors of history
Complete spoilers for Savage Season 1 to follow.
Savage Season 1 saw Turner team up with the Vasquez agent to resolve the mystery surrounding the death of Lucy Cooke. And what he has uncovered is corruption, drugs, lies and, ultimately, a heartbreaking revelation of murder.
But, while Savage Season 1 was supposed to be a mini-series, the co-creator Mark L. Smith told Tudum: “Ellie and I envisaged it as six autonomous episodes. But the more we were just there, it was just a good cast … It was like” Oh yes, how do we continue? “”
And how TO DO They continue? The final of season 1 saw an explosive end that resolved the case of Turner. And so, he found himself leaving Yosemite National Park to free himself from the emotional turmoil which attacked him from the depths of his beautiful landscape.
However, Yosemite’s National Park was not the first Kyle park and it will clearly be the last. For season 2, Mark says: “It will be the last and it will be more impactful for him.”
Ellie reveals for season 2, they are looking for another park which is not completely linked to Yosemite: “We have made Yosemite. What is the next park which could feel different from this? Each national park has such a different cultural identity, geographic identity. Be able to explore these places through the case and through the trip of Turner, which is so fascinating.”
Add: “Whatever the park we choose will be a character and he will somehow play a role in Turner’s emotional state of mind.”
For Mark, it is a question of putting Turner out of its comfort zone. He left Yosemite behind and now it is time for something new: “He was the one who led this charge, and people have followed him. And now, [we’re] Put Kyle on his rear foot, making him very uncomfortable …
“This time, we can follow Turner in a park and let him drive us, and we fall with him because he finds his way a little.”
So, whatever they then planned to Turner, it seems that it is an even more complicated landscape to navigate than the previous one.
Will there be more backup seasons?
Given that Savage was originally published as a limited series, even obtaining a season 2 is a new (and surprising) new. Everything that has exceeded this, for the moment, is unknown.
Of course, season 2 opens the door to much more Turner, especially given 63 national parks across the United States. 63 seasons? Very improbable. But a season 3? There may be hope.
It took a few weeks after the final of season 1 to renew for season 2, so I expect all the updates to be available only after season 2 only hit the streaming platform. Return here to the future and I will not fail to keep an ear to the floor of the forest.
