Sindh Prime Minister Sharjeel Inam Memon announced significant progress in the Sindh solar energy project, the second phase aimed at targeting the distribution of solar kits to 200,000 additional households in the province.
Sharjeel Memon shared this update during a ceremony held at home Rawal in Tandojam, where solar kits were distributed to beneficiaries in the first phase of the project.
Besides him was the Minister of Energy of Sindh, Syed Nasir Hussain Shah, who also played a decisive role in the progress of the project.
Sharjeel Memon highlighted the positive impact of the solar energy initiative, which helped bring renewable energies to the rural regions of the Sindh.
He assured that the second phase would start shortly, emphasizing the guarantee of a fair distribution based on the merit of solar kits to eligible households.
“The second phase is crucial because we aim to reach 200,000 households in the Sindh. Our goal is to provide lasting energy solutions to more houses in the province,” said Sharjeel Memon. He expressed his gratitude to the provincial government for his unshakable commitment to renewable energies and the well-being of his people.
During the event, Sharjeel Memon also congratulated Syed Nasir Hussain Shah for his dedication to the Solarization Project, which he called a vital part of the province’s efforts to combat energy shortages and improve the quality of life in remote areas.
In addition to the solar project, Sharjeel Memon shared the details of the provincial government’s plans to build 100 houses in each village. This housing initiative, according to the minister, would help meet the growing demand for affordable housing in the province and provide better living conditions for local residents.
“The government undertakes to make Sindh a model province in terms of housing and energy infrastructure. We want this project to be recognized on a global scale for its sustainability and innovation,” said Sharjeel Memon.
