Security forces kill 33 terrorists in the infiltration offer thwarted by the Afghan border

The security forces killed at least 33 terrorists who were trying to infiltrate through the Pakistani-Afghanistan border in Sambaza, Zhob district in Balutchistan, inter-service public relations (ISPR) said in a press release on Friday.

The movement of a large group of terrorists, identified as Khawarij and belonging to the Indian proxy group Fitna al Khawarij, was detected on the night of August 7 to 8 in Sambaza, Zhob district, near the Pakistani-Afghanistan border, the press release.

The security forces quickly detected their movement, engaged in the group and “thwarted the attempt of the terrorists sponsored by India to infiltrate,” added the ISPR.

The soldiers also declared recovering a large amount of weapons, ammunition and explosives from the site.

The ISPR has reiterated that the security forces remain resolved and unwavering in their commitment to defend the borders of the nation and to eradicate the threat of terrorism sponsored by India in the country.

Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif paid tribute to the security forces for their successful efforts to counter an attempted infiltration of terrorists linked to Fitna al-Khawarij, who tried to enter Pakistan from the Pak-Afghan border in the Zhob district.

In a statement, the Prime Minister praised the forces to eliminate 33 terrorists during the operation. “The courageous security staff risked his life to thwart the attempted infiltration of the terrorists and has foiled his harmful creations,” he said.

Shehbaz Sharif underlined the country’s support for the security forces. “The whole nation stands with the security forces in their fight against terrorism,” he added.

The Prime Minister also reiterated his commitment to completely eliminate all forms of terrorism in the country, stressing the government’s determination to maintain peace and security.
