The security forces eliminated five terrorists belonging to an organization prohibited during an intelligence operation in the Duki Duki district of Balutchistan, the officials of the Terrorism Department confirmed on Saturday.
The Department of Terrorism (CTD) led the operation in the Dabbar mountain region after receiving credible information on the terrorist presence.
The operation led to an intense fire fight which made the five terrorists dead.
Terrorists’ bodies were transferred to hospitals for forensic formalities.
The chief minister of Balutchistan, Mir Sarfraz Bugti, praised the successful operation carried out by the CTD, the FC and other security forces, declaring: “Our courageous forces have once again demonstrated their determination against the terrorist threat.”
He reiterated the government’s zero tolerance policy towards terrorism and its facilitators.
Bugti warned that “sympathizers and terrorist facilitators will be faced with the whole strength of the law”, while reaffirming the administration’s commitment to protect civil life and maintain regional stability.
