Security forces kill five terrorists in Lakki Marwat IBO: ISPR

Security forces on Sunday killed five terrorists belonging to the India-backed group. Fitna al-Khawarij during an intelligence-based operation (IBO) in Lakki Marwat district, the army’s media wing said in a statement.

According to the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), security forces carried out the IBO on March 15 after receiving information about the presence of terrorists in the area.

“During the operation, our troops actually engaged in combat against the Khwarij site, and after an intense exchange of fire, five Khwarij were neutralized,” the statement said.

The ISPR added that arms and ammunition were recovered from the slain terrorists, who had actively participated in many attacks in the region.

The statement said that a sanitization operation is underway to eliminate all Indian-sponsored Khwarij in the region as part of the relentless anti-terrorism campaign under the vision of ‘Azm-e-Istehkam’.

“Pakistan’s security and law enforcement agencies will continue at full speed to eliminate the menace of foreign sponsored and supported terrorism from the country,” it added.
