- The Sonic Racing: Crossworlds Switch 2 The physical version arrived in 2026
- The full game will be included on the cartridge, apparently dodging the Nintendo game key card system
- A automotive personalization trailer was also published on YouTube
Some good news from Sega today as the publisher has confirmed that the physical version of Nintendo Switch 2 Racing Sonic: Crossworlds will have the full game on the cartridge.
If you are not sure of the reason why this is exactly positive, it means that SEGA is apparently the controversial (and honestly extremely useless) game card system of Nintendo which effectively makes a game a glorified digital download.
Announced via a press email received by Techradar Gaming, you will unfortunately have to wait a little longer Racing Sonic: Crossworlds’ Physical release because it should currently be launched at “early 2026”. An upgrade pack of Switch 2 will also be made available for those who buy the original Switch version, with which any “content and progress will continue on Nintendo Switch 2.”

Sega also published a new Racing Sonic: Crossworlds Trailer, which you can see above. The trailer focuses on the personalization of game cars and the equipable gadgets that can help you give you an advantage in each race.
Sega confirmed that Crossworlds Includes more than 40 vehicles, more than 70 gadgets and “more than 100 vehicle pieces and decal”, players should therefore have no trouble finding a favorite driver and hunting their vehicle with all kinds of creative styles and deliveries.
Extreme execution plates, returning from Sound The series also seem to be fully customizable. In addition, customizations seem to have an effect on your car statistics, including speed, acceleration and manipulation.
Racing Sonic: Crossworlds Launched on September 25, 2025 for PS5, Xbox Series X | S, Switch, Switch 2 and PC via Steam and Epic Games Store. Again, those who hope for the physical version of Switch 2 will still have to wait until the beginning of 2026.
