The Senate on Friday passed the Railway Transfer (Amendment) Bill, 2025 with certain amendments moved by Senator Farooq H Naek.
Railways Minister Muhammad Hanif Abbasi has proposed a new bill to amend the Railway Transfer Ordinance, 1962. [The Transfer of Railways (Amendment) Bill, 2025]as reported by the House Standing Committee.
Farooq H Naek moved certain amendments to the bill which were passed by the House.
The Statement of Objects and Reasons of the Bill indicates that certain amendments have been proposed in the Railway Transfer Ordinance, 1962 (PO No. 33 of 1962) through the Railway Transfer (Amendment) Ordinance, 2025 (X of 2025), introduced as a Bill.
