Seven people died and eight were injured in a two-vehicle collision on the Makran coastal road near Neji, about 40 kilometers from Ormara, on Saturday evening.
Emergency services reported that the accident occurred around 2:30 a.m., when a broken-down oil tanker suddenly blocked the road, causing two vehicles traveling at high speed to collide. One vehicle was going from Gwadar to Karachi, while the other was going from Karachi to Turbat.
The impact was so violent that several passengers died instantly, while others were seriously injured. 1122 rescue teams and Coastal Highway Police quickly arrived at the scene, transporting the deceased and injured people to a nearby hospital for treatment.
Among those who lost their lives were Mushtaq, son of Arbab of Shahdadkot; Bano of Hoshab; Ali Ahmed, son of Hasil Khan of Quetta; Ali Bakhsh, son of Abdul Ghafoor of Sonmiani; Karim Jan, son of Ali Jan of Turbat; and papa Muhammad, son of Misri of Karachi.
