Several people were killed in an explosion in the Shahr-e-Naw district of Kabul, the Afghan capital, the Taliban Interior Ministry announced on Monday.
“According to preliminary information, a number of people were killed and injured,” Interior Ministry spokesman Abdul Mateen Qani told Reuters, adding that details would be released later.
The Shahr-e-Naw area is home to foreigners and is considered one of the safest areas in Kabul.
