Comedian Shane Gillis went on stage at the Espy Awards on Wednesday evening and shot on practically anyone in the world of sport with a monologue adapted to a roasted event.
It is not uncommon to see the host start to light the crowd with playful blows here and there during prices, but the biting humor of Gillis attracted tunes with Cheers inside the Dolby Theater of Los Angeles.
One of his most discussed jokes revolved around the Northern New Coach of New Carolina, Bill Belichick, while Gillis made a comment on his 24-year-old girlfriend Jordon Hudson.

The ditch in the crowd started to come when Gillis said Joe Rogan with a joke on the NBA commissioner, Adam Silver, but it quickly turned into something that was addressed to President Donald Trump.

“Joe Rogan actually wanted me to be here to organize this award ceremony so that I could capture Adam Silver because Joe thinks he is a foreigner,” said Gillis. “And Donald Trump wanted me to be here to capture Juan Soto for the same reason.”
Gillis did not stop there with the mentions of Trump, while he was making fun of the 47th president for having recently said that he wanted to organize a UFC fight in the White House.
Then he entered the current political argument around the list of supposed customers of Jeffrey Epstein.

“Donald Trump wants to organize a UFC fight on the lawn of the White House. The last time he organized a fight at DC, Mike Pence was almost died,” said Gillis. “… In fact, there was supposed to be an Epstein joke here, but I guess it has been deleted. Probably deleted, not? Probably never existed. Let’s continue as a country and ignore that.”
Gillis also mentioned the WNBA Caitlin Clark superstar, who did not get the best reactions after what he “predicted” when she retired.
“She will work in a waffle house so that she can continue to do what she likes most, black women who fight on her fists,” Gillis told a mixed reaction.
Finally, another interesting choice for joke was to take a blow to OJ Simpson, which was an ode to the late actor Norm Macdonald, the host of the show in 1998.

“Travis Hunter won the Heisman trophy this year,” said Gillis. “He is the first defensive player from Charles Woodson to win the Heisman. Congratulations, Travis Hunter, winning the Heisman, it is something that they can never take you away. Unless you kill your wife and a server, in this case, they can take this away.”
Gillis, who plays in the Netflix series “Tires”, also targeted Aaron Rodgers, Shai Gilgeous-Alexander and more in what some people consider out of color, while others thought it was right to laugh.
