The NFL offensive line player, Shaq Mason, was arrested on Wednesday for assault and group blows against his child’s mother.
Mason, a 31 -year -old free agent, burst into the woman’s home in Franklin, Tennessee, at 3:11 am, smothered her and threatened to kill her, police said.
Mason would also have sent a selfie to the woman with a text that said “I’m going to kill you”. The police also noticed a “fresh laceration” on the lower lip of the woman, TMZ Sports reported.

Franklin police said Mason was apprehended later during a traffic stop, his obligation set at $ 150,000.
He was reserved on a serious count of assault, an aggravated burglary chief, a chief of harassment and a conduct on a suspended permit.

Mason, a choice of fourth round in 2015, spent his first seven seasons with the New England Patriots, where he won two Super Bowls to close their dynasty. He spent the 2022 season with the Buccaneers of Tampa Bay, bringing together Tom Brady before passing the last two with the Texans of Houston.
He started 15 games last year, but granted an eight bags to an NFL summit (tied with Alex Cappa) – he was released from Houston last March. He won more than $ 45 million in guaranteed money throughout his career in the NFL.

Mason played university football at Georgia Tech after having attended a high school in Tennessee. Franklin is about 30 miles from his hometown of Columbia.
