Shazam now looks super easy to add songs identified with a Spotify or Apple Music reading list – Here’s how it works

Everyone’s favorite musical recognition application, Shazam, has just received a new update that comes with a small feature, but particularly useful that has improved its integration with Spotify and Apple Music. The latest version of the application (version 18.9), arrived on March 5, is delivered with an improved synchronization function which automatically adds your songs identified in the Shazam application to a reading list of your Spotify or Apple Music account. So far, it seems that it is only available for Spotify and Apple Music users.

When you use Shazam’s musical recognition on iPhone and iPad, it will automatically add these songs to a special reading list of your account entitled “My shazam tracks”. Before Apple deploys version 18.9 of the application, the songs identified manually via the Shazam application itself would be synchronized with a separate reading list of your Spotify or Apple Music account, but not songs discovered via the control center. The new update is changing this and will now add songs to the reading list when identified via Siri and shortcuts, as well as the control center.
