Lahore:
An anti-corruption court of Lahore approved on Thursday the advocacy of Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and his son Hamza Shehbaz for acquittal in the drainage case of Ramzan Sugar Mills filed by Nab about eight years ago.
The judge of the anti-corruption court Sardar Muhammad Iqbal Dogar pronounced the verdict, which was reserved since February 3. The judge acquitted Shehbaz and Hamza, judging that punishment was unlikely in the case against them.
On July 11, 2017, Nab had launched an investigation into allegations according to which Shehbaz Sharif, the chief minister of Punjab, and Hamza, was built in 2015 for Ramzan’s sweets in Chiniot at government spending, thus causing A loss at Rs at Rs 213 million rupees at Rs 213 million rupees at Rs 213 million in the national chessboard.

Meanwhile, the chief minister of Punjab, Maryam Nawaz Sharif, expressed the verdict and Félicité Prime Minister Shahbaz and Hamza for their acquittal in the case. Prime Minister of Punjab, Maryam Aurangzeb, also praised the acquittal of sharifs.
Speaking of a private television channel, she stressed that no reprehensible act of Shehbaz and Hamza was proven in court. Aurangzeb castigated the PTI, declaring that the case was an “excellent example of a political vendetta” at the time, Prime Minister Imran Khan.
