Sheder Sanders had a historic and unprecedented free fall in the draft of the NFL last week, and history has dominated sports media since.
The host of “College Gameday” of ESPN, Acvis, has evaluated whether the media is protective or even afraid of Sanders, but also his legendary father, the coach of Colorado, Deion, too.
“I am sure that some are. I think that when you paint with a large brush like that, you do not recognize the fact that there will be people who are and some who are not,” said Davis during a recent appearance on “Don’t @ me with Dan Dakich of Outkick.”

“And I think that the back of the medal is, I think there are also probably people who are predisposed not to worry about him and to do for each little thing that you may not like.”
Davis said there are people in the sports media who are trying to protect Deion and Sheder, while others can be too critical.
“But I don’t think you can say that absolutely, that all sports media are trying to protect Deion and Sheder, just as I think it would be unfair if you choose a few guys who say (Shemer) not good enough, Deion did XY and Z for him and that is the only reason why he is in this place, I think it’s unjust too,” said Davis.

“I think it’s probably somewhere in the middle, there are people who are probably protective and there are people who are unfairly critical.”
The Browns of Cleveland chose Sheder in the fifth round, after selecting the ancient quarter of Oregon Dillon Gabriel in the third.
The Sanders path to playing time is complicated because the Browns currently have five quarters on their list.

Deshaun Watson broke an Achilles tendon for the second time in January after having undergone surgery on this same tendon in October 2024, and its status for the coming season is in doubt.
The Browns acquired Kenny Pickett in a business with the Eagles of Philadelphia and signed Joe Flacco to a one -year contract before the draft of the NFL.
The pre-season minutes of the former Colorado Star will be placed under the microscope by fans and experts while they wonder if Sanders should start in the quarter-rear this season, because the Browns have no clear departure quarter.
