Sher Afzal Marwat, a senior Pakistan Tehreek-E-insaf (PTI), rejected media reports suggesting that the party founder refused to meet him, calling for false and deceptive claims.

Addressing the media outside the parliament on Friday, Marwat said that the recent news declaring that the founder of the PTI had blocked his meeting request was entirely false.

He also expressed his solidarity with the media on the question of the law on the prevention of electronic crimes (PECA) and criticized the false story spreads.

He said that some people on social networks claim to be associated with the PTI, but in reality, they follow the agenda of Adil Raja. These people make an injustice both on PTI and Imran Khan by broadcasting false information, he said.

The PTI chief clearly said that if Imran Khan never told him that his support is no longer necessary, he would not even throw a shadow on him. He also asked the media to check the statements with him before disseminating them, because such a disinformation affects his supporters, voters and community.

Marwat pointed out that such foundation rumors do not create unnecessary resentment among his supporters towards Khan and PTI while stressing that his feeling of self -respect was much more precious to him than to engage in such misleading discussions.

Regarding the current negotiations, he said: “I think the process is far from over as Imran Khan said, if the government agrees to form a commission, we are ready to return to the table of negotiations “.

In a solid statement, Marwat said he was now going to be distant from the media for a while, citing the harmful impact of false news on his reputation.
