Short top refuses the prescription of reserved seats PTI

Islamabad:

The Supreme Court’s office refused to authorize the Pakistan Tehreek-E-insaf (PTI) / Sunni Council (sic) request requesting the issuance of “ court order ” signed by 12 judges which is downloaded on the website of the pre-on.

Two requests were moved by PTI lawyer, Hamid Khan and Salman Akram Raja. The head of the court urged the lawyer on the file (AOR) to request a certified copy rather than move a request. The manager added that once the order is available at the office, it will be shared.

Raja, who is the secretary general of the PTI, also wrote a letter to the Supreme Court on the subject. The letter indicated that on June 27, judge Salahuddin Panwar recused himself from the bench hearing the case of revision of the reserved seats, while judge Jamal Khan Mandokhail adopted a separate order.

In addition, the letter indicated, a separate order was made by judge Muhammad Ali Mazhar and judge Hassan Azhar Rizvi. Seven judges adopted a separate order, accepting revision requests in the case of reserved seats.

At the start of the procedure, judge Ayesha Malik and judge Aqeel Abbasi rejected the examination petitions. “It is respectfully asked that certified copies of each of the judgments / orders be kindly provided as soon as possible,” he said.

“It is also requested that the order of the court signed by twelve honorable members of the bench, after the challenge of judge Salahuddin Panwar, could also be provided,” continued the letter.

The Pakistan Supreme Court website has published a short prescription concerning subtitles and connected petitions, signed by only 10 judges of the constitutional bench. However, the court order signed by 12 judges of the bench, who heard the subtitled and connected questions.

“A certified copy request for the said order signed by twelve honorable judges is made through the instant request,” said the letter. However, the registrar’s office also refused to receive the letter.

Last week, the constitutional bench of the Supreme Court annulled the judgment of July 12, 2024 of the Supreme Court of July 12 which had raised the PTI as a parliamentary party and granted it the seats reserved for the legislatures.

The bench, by the majority of 7, has granted all the petitions of civil revision against the decision of July 12, paving the way to the ruling coalition to obtain two -thirds of the majority in Parliament, which will have important implications for national policy.

Meanwhile, addressing a press conference in Peshawar, PTI spokesperson Sheikh Waqas Akram, strongly criticized the decision of the constitutional bench on the examination petition and warned that the party would not remain silent, but rather the voice against the decision at each forum.

“The decision on the case of revising reserved seats showed that there was no constitution. It is a joke with democracy. This decision was written in advance, and everyone knew what decision would be announced,” he accused.

“First of all, the general seats were removed from us [in the February 8, 2024 general elections]. Now all the reserved seats have also been removed, “he said.” People will make fun of the decision of the reserved seats. We will not leave this affair; We will raise our voice against her at each forum. “”

Akram said that lawyers ‘and family members’ meetings with the founder of PTI, Imran Khan, had been prohibited despite the court orders. “They are afraid that people get out, they received the message for the party founder,” he said, demanding a resumption of Imran meetings.

Speaking of the PTI demonstration in the Punjab assembly during the budget session, Akram said that the protest was due to a “killer budget”. He criticized the decision of the Punjab Assembly of the decision to suspend 26 members for 15 sessions and to send references against them.

“How could elected officials be suspended for protesting? There will be a demonstration all over the world,” he warned. “The speaker sends the reference to the electoral commission [of Pakistan (ECP)] Because the opposition raised its voice for the rights of the people, “he added.

“NOW [the chairmanship of] Four permanent committees are torn off from the PTI. They cannot silence their voice by removing the committees. We condemn this speaker decision. He does this to please the chief minister of Punjab. “”

Akram revealed that six PTI workers, who were recently released from prison, died from the jaundice. “Our workers who were in prison for six months die now. This cannot be a coincidence. We demand an impartial investigation and those responsible must be seriously punished.”

Answering a question on membership of a political alliance, the PTI spokesman said that after the general elections of last year, talks took place with other political parties, but these parties did not arouse the courage to get up.

“Maulana Fazlur Rehman [the Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam chief] had never joined the opposition demonstration. We have the honor to Maulana Fazlur Rehman, but he did not come with us. Now no one needs Maulana Fazlur Rehman anymore, “he said.
