Silent data become the first layer 2 focused on confidentiality to join Ethereum Superchain

Silent Data, a new Ethereum Layer 2 network developed by Applied Blockchain, has become the first confidentiality channel to join the Superchain, the company announced in a press release on Wednesday.

Built on the OP battery, the London -based project is designed to allow organizations to execute blockchain applications without exposing sensitive information, combining what it calls “programmable confidentiality” with scalability, performance and regulatory alignment.

The OP battery is the open source development battery that feeds the blockchain of optimism.

“The update of the OP battery allows us to integrate into a robust and largely adopted layer ecosystem,” the founder and CEO Applied Blockchain, Adi Ben-Ari.

A layer 1 network is the base layer or the underlying infrastructure of a blockchain. Direction 2 refers to a set of out -of -chain systems or separate blockchains built on top of layer 1.

The superchain, an ecosystem of more than 30 layer 2 networks, includes the Coinbase base, OP MAINNET, KRAKEN’s Ink, Sony’s SONEIUM, Unichain’s Unichain and World Chain.

Silent data are the first to introduce a confidentiality wrapper, allowing sensitive workloads to be executed on the chain without losing transparency or composibility.

The project has recently been launched with a library of applications compatible with privacy and is already tested in several industries.

Companies that explore its use include Tokeny, an Apex and Archax group company in real asset tokenization; Shell in energy trading; and Cryopdp, a subsidiary of DHL Health Logistics, in health care and management of the supply chain.

Its battery can also be adopted by other layers 2 Superchain or projects seeking to deploy their own rollups, reporting a broader decision to provide a private life to the company in the Blockchain infrastructure, said the company.
