Silent Hill’s Bloober team remake has officially entered the full production.
Speaking during the last conference call for the investors of the Bloober team, CEO Piotr Babieno and Vice-President Karolina Nowak confirmed that the Silent Hill 2 studio is actively working on the remake Silent Hill 1 previously announced, as well as a “second project” (via Eurogamer).
“We have two proprietary production teams, one of which is working on Silent Hill 1, while the other started working on a second project,” said the transcription.
Bloober’s remake Silent Hill 2 launched almost a year ago and was a furious success. It is not confirmed, but it was probably the same team that worked on the 2024 horror game that made Silent Hill.
The developer also recently launched Cronos: The New Dawn, an original horror IP for the PS5 series, Xbox.
“After the launch weekend, we said that the sales of the game amounts to 200,000 units,” confirmed Babieno and Nowak at the conference call with investors. However, the studio does not actively work on downloadable content (DLC) or a suite, although it does not separate anything.
“For the moment, apart from marketing updates, the company does not actively work on development (neither a sequel nor a DLC), but we have not excluded it in the future and we certainly think of developing this intellectual property,” he said Bloober.
Earlier this year, the Polish studio announced its new label, Broken Mirror Games, who will publish his first project, I Hate this place. The Isometric Survival horror game based on crafts arrives on November 7 for PS5, Xbox Series X, Xbox Series S, Nintendo Switch and PC.
