Simon Cowell is betting big on new talent, once again giving One Direction fans nostalgia.
His newly formed boyband, December 10, will release their first ever music video on Monday.
The announcement came just days after the Netflix series The next act who introduced them was criticized.
The group is made up of seven members: Cruz (19 years old), Danny (16 years old), Hendrick (19 years old), John (17 years old), Josh (17 years old), Nicolas (16 years old) and Sean (19 years old).
He rose to fame thanks to Cowell’s docuseries that revived the familiar format of auditions and bootcamps for talent shows.
Even if the American idol Judge’s new project has been called “dated” and “derivative,” and he has officially signed the group under his management.
Their first video will feature a live acoustic cover of NSYNC Goodbye, goodbye, goodbye filmed at Metropolis Studios in London.
The performance was announced at the end of the six-part Netflix series and is set to premiere on YouTube at 4 p.m. on December 15.
Cowell, who has previously showcased talent including One Direction, Westlife and Little Mix, said he was concerned that record labels were no longer recruiting enough new talent.
