The Sindh government announced a two-day public holiday on September 5 and 6 as part of Eid Milad-Un-Nabi.
A notification published on Wednesday confirmed that the holidays would be observed throughout the province. The holidays correspond to the 12th of Rabi-UL-Awwal, which marks the birth of the Prophet Muhammad (PSL).
According to notification, “the holidays will apply to all government offices, autonomous organizations, semi-autonomous organizations, companies and local councils operating under the administrative control of the Sindh government.”
However, the essential services will continue without interruption. “Officers and civil servants engaged in flooding tasks, emergency services and other related services will remain in service during this vacation,” said the notification.
