London: The Sindh government, in collaboration with the Oxford Pakistan (OPP) program, announced the creation of two prestigious scholarships on behalf of Shaheed Mohtarma Benazir Bhutto and Shaheed Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto.
The scholarships will be part of the annual program of higher education scholarships of the OPP and will support the exceptionally talented students of the Sindh to pursue higher education at the University of Oxford, said a press release published on Friday.
The announcement of these scholarships was made during an official visit to the University of Oxford by the president of the Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP), Bilawal Bhutto Zardari and the Sindh -Chief Minister Murad Ali Shah.
They were organized for lunch by the director of Lady Margaret Hall (L’Alma Mater de Benazir Bhutto), Professor Stephen Blyth, and were informed of the vision and initiatives of the OPP, as well as the fundamental support of Lady Margaret Hall for the OPP.
Lunch was also assisted by Ms. Sanam Bhutto, Mohtarma Benazir Bhutto’s sister; writer, historian and former former former, Victoria Schofield; and senior delegates from the governments of Sindh and Baloutchistan.
The OPP is led by a team of Oxford Academicics and former students, including Professor Adeel Malik of the University of Oxford, Dr Talha J Pirzada, Lecturer in Materials, Haroon Zaman, lawyer ‘Company in London and the old -fashioned Oxford, Minahil Saqib.
The OPP supports students and academics of Pakistani origin through scholarships, funds of difficulties, an annual IQBAL conference and an access to graduates.

Benazir Bhutto and Zulfikar Ali Bhutto studied at the University of Oxford. These scholarships honor their inheritance and aim to empower young people in the Sindh by giving them access to world class education and the possibility of contributing significantly to their communities and beyond.
This fund will provide annual financial support each year up to six exceptional Sindh students to continue a graduate diploma in Lady Margaret Hall, Oxford, including up to three scholarships for candidates under the Shaheed Benazir Bhutto stock exchange and until ‘To three scholarships under the Shaheed Zulfikar Ali Bhutto scholarship.
Speaking during the event, Bilawal said: “The OPP opens the doors and creates opportunities for the Pakistanis, in particular talented students of disadvantaged backgrounds.
