Sindh-chief Minister Murad Ali Shah criticized the federal government for not having respected his financial commitments to the province, while promising increased development and rescue measures in the 2025-20126 budget.

Speaking at a post-budget press conference on Saturday, Shah said that the provincial budget totaled 3.45 Billions of rupees, with an RS1,018 Billions record allocated to development projects.

He warned that these figures could change depending on the fact that the federal government meets its income transfer obligations.

He announced that 1,460 development regimes, worth 590 billion rupees, will be completed this exercise. This marks a record for the province.

On public sector wages, Shah confirmed a 12% increase for employees from 1st to 16th year and an increase of 10% for people from the 17th to the 22nd year. Total wage and pensions expenses will reach RS1,1 Billions.

With regard to the sector, education experienced an 18% increase in the budgetary allowance, 11% health care, a local government 5% and an energy of 16.5%. The transport service will receive 59.6 billion rupees, while agriculture will have 22.5 billion rupees. RS132 billion was reserved for local organizations and 43 billion rupees for irrigation.

For Karachi alone, a dedicated budget of 236 billion rupees was allocated – excluding public -private partnership projects of 95 billion rupees already underway.

The CM has made daring complaints concerning rehabilitation efforts for areas affected by floods, declaring that 500,000 houses have been completed, 850,000 are almost finished and 1.3 million are under construction. He said international institutions, including World Bank, recognized effort as a world model for success.

He also cited a massive initiative for rural drainage and water supply worth 600 billion rupees, which will be implemented locally and supervised by NGOs.

On the tax, Shah said that no new tax had been imposed. In fact, several taxes have been eliminated, including restaurant and entertainment withdrawals. Tierce motorcycle insurance has been exempt, reduced stamp duties and numerous administrative costs divided by two.

In agriculture, the CM has announced light free laser for small farmers and a subsidy of 80% for large -scale cultivators. He also introduced cluster agriculture as a new model. The Sindh Institute of Child Health has been described as the largest network of this type in the world. Initiatives for people with disabilities, youth development centers and new school programs have also been unveiled.

Shah has openly criticized the federal government to exclude the main Sindh projects – such as the K -IV water supply project, desalination factories and other energy -related infrastructure – the Federal Public Sector Development Program (PSDP). He warned that the Pakistani peoples’ party (PPP) would not support the federal budget if the Sindh does not receive a fair share.

“We are not part of the federal coalition, offering only conditional support. If the Sindh is not also treated, we will withdraw our support,” he said.

Shah defended the purchase of helicopters and official vehicles, adding that a ban on purchases of new vehicles would be applied from next year.

By concluding his speech, the CM said that the Sindh government is working with a clear direction and intention for public well -being – as evidenced by the increase in the public mandate during the last elections.
