During the meeting, the committee members gave instructions to regulate the allocation of government vehicles through clear guidelines. Secretaries of various departments presented a 10-year review of government vehicles.

Sharjeel Inam Memon, in his speech, said the auction process should be completed within a month to avoid further wastage of resources and meet the need for new vehicles.

He stressed that the purchase of electric vehicles would benefit the government, save on fuel costs and facilitate the auction process.

He further said that the government is committed to ensuring transparency and accountability in the use of public resources.

He warned that those who misuse government vehicles should return them as per government orders.

Provincial Minister Memon added that work on the auction of unnecessary vehicles is underway and the auction will be conducted in a transparent manner.

All relevant officials and departments must adhere to the new guidelines to avoid legal action.

Saeed Ghani said timely auction of unnecessary vehicles is crucial to reduce unnecessary expenses. He urged departments with surplus vehicles to return them to the government.

Zia-ul-Hassan Lanjar said efforts were being made expeditiously to identify unnecessary vehicles and ensure compliance with government policies.

Their goal is to save public money and ensure that spending corresponds to real needs.
