Karachi:
Sindh -chief Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah has held separate meetings with Rana Mashhood, president of the Prime Minister’s youth program, and the Federal Minister for Religious Affairs to discuss questions relevant to their areas.
During her meeting with Rana Mashhood, the CM discussed the strengthening of the coordination between the Prime Minister’s youth program and the Sindh Sports and Youth Affairs Department.
They agreed that thanks to this collaboration, the young people of the Sindh would have the possibility of going to different countries for employment, educational exchanges and exhibition visits.
Mashhood informed the chief minister of the new digital hub of young people, an initiative designed to connect young people to employment possibilities in the public and private sectors. He shared the vision of sending young Pakistani qualified abroad for work and highlighted the global demand for professionals formed from Pakistan.
Anti-political campaign
The chief minister, presiding over a meeting of the provincial working group for the eradication of polio, said that the province had reported four cases of polio in 2025, against 23 in 2024 and 2 in 2023, therefore, it is necessary to strengthen coordination in all the districts in preparation for the next days of national immunization (NIDS) scheduled for April 21 to 27, 2025.
“Our efforts this year must be focused on the guarantee that each child receives the anti-political vaccine,” he said.
The provincial Minister of Health, Dr. Azra Fazal Pechuho, informed the meeting that four current cases were identified in Badin, Larkana, Kambar and Thista DSIRICTS.
Dr. Azra Pechuho highlighted the need for sustained monitoring in communities affected by disinformation.
IFC delegation
The chief minister met with an international delegation of International Finance Corporation (IFC), at Maison CM. The delegation was led by Ms. Linda Rudo Munyengeterwa, director of public-private partnerships, privatizations and business financing notice, IFC Global, to discuss urban, water and sanitation projects.
