Six martyred soldiers thwarting a suicide attack

The security forces killed six Indian-Proxy terrorists during a day meeting at the Federal Headquarters of Constabulary (FC) in the Bannu of Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa (KP) district on Tuesday, during which six soldiers were also martyred and 19 other injuries, soldiers and local police said.

Inter-service public relations (ISPR), the army media wing, said in a statement that the terrorists, belonging to the Indian proxy Fitna Al Khwarij, targeted the FC siege in the district of Bannu in the early hours of Tuesday in a loose terrorist attack.

“The Kharjis sponsored by the Indians tried to violate the security of the perimeter, however, their harmful creations were quickly thwarted by the vigilant response and resolved by the own troops.

In their despair, the Kahrjis struck a vehicle loaded with explosive in the wall of the perimeter, “said the ISPR.

“The explosion of suicide has led to the partial collapse of the wall of the perimeter and damage to the adjacent civil infrastructure inflicting injuries with three innocent civilians. Acknowledging unshakable courage and professional excellence, their own troops have engaged the Kharjis with precision and eliminated the five Khwarij.”

However, according to the military’s media wing, in this intense exchange of fire, six brave soldiers belonging to the Federal Constabulary and the Pakistani army, after organizing a heroic fight, embraced martyrdom in the exercise of their functions.

“The customs clearance in the region would continue and the authors of this odious and cowardly act will be brought to justice. The Pakistan security forces in line with the nation remain firmly in their resolution to eradicate Indian terrorism sponsored by the country.”

The ISPR press release said that the sacrifices of “our brave innocent soldiers and civilians further strengthen our unwavering commitment to safeguard our nation at all costs”.

During the media information on the attack, Bannu Range (RPO) police officer Sajjad Khan told journalists that the terrorists had struck a vehicle loaded with explosives in the Wall of the Federal lines of the gendarme at 5:15 a.m. which resulted in the collapse of the wall.

“Five activists stormed the complex and opened fire. The FC staff retaliated strongly and embarked on an exchange of fierce fire. Shortly after, other security forces also reached the site and surrounded the terrorists,” he said.

“Small heavy weapons were used during the flight.

President AIF Zardari firmly condemned the terrorist attack led by Khawarij supported by India. He paid tribute to the martyrs who thwarted the harmful creations of the Khawarij terrorists. The president said that the nation salutes the sacrifices of its brave soldiers and citizens.
