I am still stuck in the connection limbo with the soft on the desk, and it seems consistent with what Slack has reported on his status page. As such, it would seem that the problems will persist for some people while others seem to have obtained access to the fully functional soft.
Here is a new Slack update:
“We have identified the cause of the problem and continue to monitor our health measures, but we are still not entirely resolved. Some users can still reproduce symptoms such as loading problems of their workspaces. Our work is still underway to restore backend services assigned to return functionality to impacted features.”
And Slack apologized for current problems:
“No additional news to share for the moment, but we have focused on returning things to normal as quickly as possible. We apologize for continuous troubles.”
My boss, Marc McLaren returned to the Slack office version. I’m still stuck in limbo …
Still no joy on the connection desk for me on Slack. Sigh.
Another Slack update:
“We always examine the cause of the problem and work on the restoration of the features of affected features such as workflows, sending messages, threads and API features. Users can also continue to encounter problems during the connection attempt. We will provide new information as soon as they are available.”
I am not the only one without access to the Slack office because my colleague Mackenzie Frazier is also in the same boat, and I think that some others also have it. But with communication, a little muffled, it’s hard to say.
Another update of the Slack status page, and it reads roughly the same as before:
“We are always actively investigating this problem, but we have no new information to share for the moment. Thank you for standing with us when we continue to work towards a fix. We will keep you posted as soon as we have an update.”
That’s all I see when I try to connect to Slack. Become exasperating now.
Still no office connection for me. I’m sure I don’t do anything strange on my side …
According to Downdector, there have also been breakdowns at Amazon Web Services, Instagram Microsoft Copilot, among others. Now it is not clear if these are linked, but many services use AWS for their cloud platform, so if it has decreased, it could be the node of these breakdowns.
By going through the Slack status page, it does not seem that everything has been calculated:
“We are always working to restore the features of affected slack features such as sending messages, workflows, threads and other API features. We will be back with more updates as soon as they are available.”
My colleagues report that they have access to Slack on the desktop on Windows and MacOS.
But I had to restart my MacBook and Slack completely disconnected from me and seems to have trouble authenticating myself via my Google Workspace account. Read slightly frustrating, I must say.
However, emoji reactions do not seem to work. Barely a crucial part of Slack, but an indication that things could be a little built for a little while Slack is recovering.
No official word of the Slack status page, that’s again. But it seems that we arrive at the end of this failure. Although these can be famous the last words, so to speak.
But my mobile version of Slack is now very good.
According to Desire and Josie, Slack is back for both … I don’t have so much luck.
However, the desktop application and the Slack browser version still does not put messages from “your workspace disorder”.
Oh, hang on to a minute … both the editor-in-chief Josie Watson and I was able to send messages to the Slack application, so this can be a sign of the deterioration of the breakdown.
So I can always see my Slack messages in the mobile application on my iPhone 16 Pro Max, but I cannot send new ones as you might expect with the failure still in force. However, it is practical to verify the working condition as a snapshot before the failure.
For what it is worth, I am completely a fan of the Slack application on iOS. It is close, works well and feels decently integrated into Apple’s mobile platform.
Another Slack article:
“Our survey is still underway with regard to obsolete features for Slack features such as workflows, threads, sending messages and API features. We will be back with more updates as soon as they are available.”
It looks like the reports of releases on the Downdector have culminated. So, either people have accepted that Slack has come out, or the service is on the road to recovery and could soon be in place … We will see.
Here is the latest Slack update:
“We are continuing our efforts to restore the features of affected features such as workflows, sending messages, threads and API features. Users can also encounter problems during the connection attempt. We appreciate your continuous patience. More updates will be shared as soon as possible.”
And a little more for desire:
A rather regular event
Over the past four years, Slack has experienced at least a big breakdown each year. We had one in January 2021one in February 2022,, March 2022 And July 2022 And the last one was in July 2023.
Thus, the popular commercial communication platform is not immune to downtime and the fact that it continues to occur is at least worrying.
I wonder how fast I will have enough to see the image below? Slack is always borke for me.
Thanks to the magic of cloud -based software, I have ideas for Desire Athow, editor -in -chief of Techradar Pro, on the state of the game with Slack and what breakdown means for businesses.
“Here’s how we face it. Slack is a single failure for an entire organization, when it fell a few minutes ago, my first thought was: what we have as an alternative?” He writes.
“Slack is the place where any real -time communication occurs in tens of thousands of companies, including when writing, Broken-down Thousands of failure points have been reported in the last three hours and up. “”
I cannot say if I feel rather Zen by the lack of loose notifications, or if I feel rather isolated; The latter is probably due to me also listening to an atmospheric science fiction soundtrack while I type.
On his service status page, Slack published the following:
“We are still working to restore the features of affected slack features such as sending messages, workflows, threads and other API features. Users can also encounter problems during the connection attempt. Thank you for your continuous patience while we continue to investigate. We will follow other updates as they become available.”
We are therefore back to communication rather at the old school in the form of email and collaborating in Google Docs. No bad thing, because the GOOGLE’s G suite is a rather robust tool. Likewise, it is not exactly optimal.
Usually, when breakdowns occur, they do not always affect us directly at Techradar. But we all use Slack to collaborate remotely and on several countries and continents.
So it’s a breakdown that I really feel directly; I cannot quickly contact my colleagues in the United States, which is painful when there is a major Amazon product event in progress.
I have just received an email from future publishing (the company which owns Techradar) IT service that Slack is broken in all areas.
Ok now, he just told me that his smack was broken. So yes, it’s not good for remote collaboration.
But this breakdown does not seem to affect everyone, because my boss Marc McLaren reports that his Smack still works … How strange.
Yeah, so Slack is definitely broken down and I am a little blind without easy contact with my colleagues.
