Rawalpindi:
A fight broke out between the senior leaders of the PTI Fawad Chaudhry and the lawyer Shoaib Shaheen outside the Adiala prison, leading to an animated exchange of slaps and insults, sources said on Friday.
According to the initiates, Shoaib Shaheen later approached the founder of PTI, Imran Khan, in court to complain about the incident, alleging that Fawad had physically attacked him at the door of prison n ° 5.
During the hearing, Shaheen confronted Imran in the presence of Fawad, even showing a hand injury as proof.
“I was physically attacked at prison door No. 5,” Shaheen told Imran.
However, after having briefly recognized the complaint, Imran deflected the conversation, questioning the status of a petition in matters of human rights. His answer suggested little interest in solving the problem.
Eyewitness confirmed that Fawad Chaudhry slapped Shoaib Shaheen during their argument, dropping him and undergoing injuries on his arm.
Verbal violence was exchanged, Fawad would have accused Shaheen of being an “agency agent”, to which Shaheen replied, “keep your own business”.
The prison staff had to intervene to break the fight. Following the altercation, Fawad entered the prison premises while Shaheen remained outside to treat his injuries.
Lawyer Pti Nadia Khattak, who witnessed the fight, criticized Fawad’s actions. “Whatever the differences, they should be verbal, not physical. It was completely inappropriate,” she said.
She expressed her relief that Shaheen did not suffer from a major injury, saying: “Fortunately, no bone was broken. He got up with only one hand injury”.
