Now ESPN updated these rankings on Friday, and the Mustangs, after a surprise university football trip, after finishing 11-3 last season, only spent a place in n ° 19. Miami and Clemson, however, passed n ° 17 and n ° 16 respectively.
This led Lashlee to call the ESPN classification system a farce.

Lashlee clearly does not believe that in his Mustangs to be more successful in 2025, but he wants more respect for the schools he will face.
Clemson, led by veteran chief coach Dabo Swinney, was the school that beat SMU during the ACC 2024, 34-31 championship, although the Lashlee group was the favorite of the inclination of the Bank of America stadium in Charlotte, North Carolina.
