According to the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), security forces carried out the intelligence operation on December 15 in the general area of Kulachi, Dera Ismail Khan district, following reports of the presence of terrorists.

“During the operation, our own troops actually engaged the Khawarij location, and after an intense exchange of fire, seven Khawarij were sent to hell. However, during the exchange of fire, a brave son of the soil, Naik Yasir Khan (34, resident of Mardan district), after fighting valiantly, paid the ultimate sacrifice and embraced Shahadat,” the statement said.
