- Pixel 10 wireless load problems are reported
- The problems seem to be linked to older chargers
- So far, Google has had nothing to say about the question
A new telephone launch is often delivered with first problems attached – such as random restarts on the iPhone 16 – and we see reports from certain owners of Google Pixel 10 with wireless load problems on their devices.
Several of the complaints were collected together by the 9TO5GOOGLE team, and they include problems such as slow recharge and the load that begins, then stops after a few minutes or a few seconds have passed.
You can read some of the reports on this Reddit wire, which is specifically focused on stand 2 of Pixel which was launched alongside the Pixel 6. It is difficult to say how widespread these problems, but there are a lot of frustrated users.
The 9TO5GOOGLE team was able to reproduce some but not all the problems reported online, and we saw no problem with the wireless load during the tests we carried out for our Google Pixel 10 exam.
New standards, new problems
These bugs seem to affect all the different Pixel 10 models, including the Google Pixel 10 Pro and Google Pixel 10 Pro XL. If there is a link between the relationships, they may all involve older wireless load devices.
The Pixel 10 series brings with it a wireless charging upgrade, with the Qi2 support and a new magnetic power profile (MPP) – which means an Android experience a bit like Magsafe, with magnets used to align phones and chargers.
It is possible that the old load peripherals do not work properly with the new standards, which is why users do not see fluid wireless load performance – although it is not something that Google has mentioned.
There has not yet been Google’s response to complaints, but we will keep you posted if this happens. It is possible that a software correction is able to solve some of these problems with the older wireless load equipment.
