- Sonos and Ikea announced that they were separating after a six -year collaboration
- The current inventory of library speakers and symfonisk lamp is being suppressed, but existing products will continue to receive software updates
- This comes after the news of the proposed American rates, which led Sonos to think rationally in the future of the company
After a series of six years of audio innovation, Sonos and Ikea suddenly decided to end their Symfonisk partnership which saw the release of some of the best wireless speakers. The Symfonisk range of Ikea of lamp speakers and library has proven to be a popular and affordable choice to improve cinema configurations and audio systems, so this news is a surprise.
The separation of Sonos and Ikea was reported for the first time by The Verge, which announced that the companies confirmed the news on Tuesday, May 6. The point of sale has also revealed that the current inventory of symfonisk products is being eliminated worldwide from all IKEA locations, without plans to publish future products.
In an email sent to the penis, Sonos spokesperson, Erin Pategas, wrote the following; “Over the past eight years, we have had the pleasure of working in close collaboration with Ikea and are proud of what we have achieved.” She also gave an overview of Sonos plans for its release from Symfonisk products, adding: “Although our work together has been largely removed and we will not publish new products as partners, we will continue to support all existing symfonis products so that customers can continue to enjoy a large sound at home for many years”.
Why so suddenly, Sonos?
To say that this is the end of an era is an understatement, especially since we were pleasantly satisfied with the Symfonisk range of speakers-in particular its popular Symfonisk table lamp speaker with WiFi, and even its symfonisk image speaker. But it was not only we who appreciated the contributions of Ikea and Sonos in the world of audio technology, its range also made the impression of the audiophiles and the average consumer.
According to the initial report of the penis on the news, the announcement of the conclusion of the partnership occurs just before Sonos is preparing to reveal its quarterly results today (Wednesday May 7). Sonos also told The Verge that he was in full “closely followed developments related to the prices offered and actively evaluating the potential implications for our business, our customers and our supply chain”.
That said, it seems that Sonos did not make the decision to separate lightly from Ikea and by the sounds of this one, I had to carefully consider the effects that new American pricing laws could have on the deployment of its products. However, this is not the first upheaval that the company has experienced this year.
In March, Sonos would have canceled its streaming video player which was designed to offer a new wireless theater experience with Sonos speakers. This came after CEO Patrick Spence left the company after a bad 2024. We have our fingers crossed that better things are on the horizon for Sonos, but only time will tell us.
