- There is a new update now for Sonos Ace headphones
- It brings the long -awaited Truecinema function, and the TV audio swap can now support two ACE earphones
- Sonos also promises more natural calls and improved noise cancellation
Sonos has marked a year since the launch of AS Sonos – the first and the first pair of company over -ear headphones – with a significant software update which offers a highly anticipated set of features.
Travel now as a free update, the press release introduces several new features and expands those existing to help AS stand out in an increasingly competitive market.
The Over-Areau headphones are a crowded space, with major players like the new Sony WH-1000XM6, and Sonos looks at what distinguishes AS: deep integration with the company’s domestic audio ecosystem, in particular its sound bars.
In our criticism, we have called AS the best earphone for the observation of films – and this update only improves this capacity. One of the securities improvements is based on the TV audio swap, a feature that allows users to send the audio wirelessly from a sound bar (such as the arc, the beam or the department) directly to the AS.
With the update, this feature now supports two pairs of headphones simultaneously. This means that two users can listen to synchronization via their own ACE headphones without disturbing anyone else in the room – it was one of the most requested features of Sonos fans after the launch of AS.
You can say even more exciting the start of Truecinema for AS Sonos. This feature is designed to create a more immersive spatial audio experience that looks less like reading headphones and more as a complete full theater sound.
Better still, Sonos promises that the audio produced, well played in the earphones, will be close to what you get from the configuration of the sound bar for your own space. Working in tandem with a television audio exchange, Truecinema requires a sonos arc, an ultra arc, a beam or a radius connected to your TV, the resulting experience providing a more natural and precise sound.
Improvements are also included in updating the active noise cancellation (ANC). Sonos uses embedded sensors to detect variables such as hair, hats and glasses, which can affect the seal around the ear and therefore the effectiveness of the cancellation of the noise. The ACE headphones then make real -time adjustments to refine the cancellation of noise, depending on the tests through a diversified group of users.
Finally, Sonos presents Sidetone, a feature that makes telephone calls more natural when noise cancellation is activated. With Sidetone, you will hear a little of your own voice raised through the headphones, preventing the disorienting “empty” effect which often accompanies old full during calls.
In total, these updates – TV audio exchange for two, Truecinema, Improved and Sidone – mark a significant evolution for AS Sonos. With most of the problems of severe serious applications and a new CEO at the helm, this update rewards the first adopters and could convince those who are still undecided to give the ACE a more in -depth examination. ACE Sonos remains at a price of $ 449 / £ 449 / $ 699 in.
The update is starting to deploy today, June 10, and can be installed via the Sonos on iOS or Android app – just make sure your ACE headphones are connected via Bluetooth. I hope this is a trend that Sonos continues with the AS, ultimately deploying more features and introducing more products.
There is always a feature that Sonos fans want the most, but that we have not yet seen: the support so that they act as a complete speaker option in the Multi-Heo Ecosystem of Sonos. Sonos told Techradar when the ace was launched that it could be technically possible, but it had not yet appeared.
It would be useful for people who have one of the best turntables or another music player as part of their sound system, because you could then listen to it on the AS in high quality wireless. It may be the next big upgrade.
