- The valve would work on a steam console
- Rumors suggest that the console will use the next GPU of the AMD Radna 4 Radeon RX 9070
- This could provide much necessary competition on the domestic console market
Valve vapor is once again the subject of the day – and no, it is not with regard to the rumor of Steam Deck 2 which has recently been shot by Valve – but rather another rumor which suggests that the giant of the game became a real strength on the material market.
As reported by WCCFTECH, the new rumor stems from Manchedeck to X (relayed by a Spanish leak known as Extas1S) and suggests that Valve is currently working on a Steam ” console ”, which could use the new Radna 4 GPU 4 RADNO RX 9070 AMD. No, it is probably not a triumphant return of failing steam machines.
It would be enormous, because it could mean that players would have the possibility of a hybrid console / PC game experience, because it would probably adopt the steamos of the steam deck – the PS5 series and the X series already use a one RDNA 2 architecture, so it would be a great competition for Sony and Microsoft – if it’s true, of course. Based on the rumors of FSR 4 exclusive to DNA 4 GPUs, this could spell excellent news for those looking for the latest and the best game performances outside Nvidia equipment.
The reasoning behind this suggestion is that Valve would work on the management of the driver of the GPU RX 9070 – Considering that the position of the allegedly intermediate market of the GPU (which, granted, we cannot clarify before its launch), it would not be Too far from a possibility here. Again, it’s still a rumor, so take it with a pinch of salt, but as the Steam Deck 2 does not happen anytime soon, it would be logical that this is what valve targets then.
This could be the necessary push that Sony needs concerning the PlayStation 5
For a long time now, Sony has advanced with certain decisions that have not been well with fans – including its recent mid -generation upgrade with the PS5 PRO, with many players upset by its price of $ 699.99 / £ 699.99 / $ 1 199 in. In my opinion, there have not been a lot of breathtaking games during the PS5 era (especially compared to the large collection of blockbuster titles of the PS4), and this is doubly obvious with the many Remasers and remakes for games that do not just need this treatment.
With a Steam console, players would have access to a larger game library (thanks to the Steam showcase), and this even includes certain old PlayStation exclusives which have now made their way to PC. We have heard rumors and suggestions that long -awaited titles like GTA 6 are not guaranteed to operate at 60 frames per second on the PS5 too.
If a steam console launches with a powerful CPU to label alongside the GPU Radeon RX 9070 of AMD, it will certainly give the PS5 a race for its money and will leave Sony forced to intensify its game – so I really hope that ‘There is a grain of truth to this particular rumor.
