Sony announced its 2025 TV range, with the new offers led by a Mark II version of its OLED BRAVIA 8 TV which uses a QD display panel. Other new announced televisions include mini-LED and regular LED models, and there is a new entry-level addition to the range of Sony Bravia projectors.
The current Sony Bravia 8, one of the best OLED TVs in 2024, will continue in Sony’s TV 2025 range, as well as the 77 -inch version of the Sony A95L, a 2023 model which also uses an olée QD panel. The television series flagship Sony Bravia 9 LED is also underway for 2025, as well as its televisions in the Bravia 5 Mini-Led series and Bravia 3 mid-range LEDs.
The new mini-LED television series of the Bravia 5 series will include a 98-inch model, the company’s first mini-li-tapper in an extra-large screen size and a replacement for the outgoing Sony X90L, which also included a 98-inch option.
The prices and availability of all new models must still be announced.
BRAVIA 8 II OLED
The Sony Bravia 8 II will be available in 55 and 65-inch screen sizes and, according to Sony, gives viewers a 50% more brilliant TV option than the Sony Bravia 8 series, which uses a standard W-Oled panel. Sony says that new OLEDs are also 125% brighter than the previous flagship series.
TVs Bravia 8 II use the company XR processor with XR Triluminos Max and XR Clear Image. They have a slate design, with a slim chassis than the models of the Bravia 8 series.
Audio features on the Bravia 8 II include the audio +acoustic surface, which uses integrated transducers behind the screen that transforms the OLED panel into a speaker and synchronization of the acoustic center, which allows the TV to be used as a central channel with a compatible Sony speaker system. Another upgrade that Bravia 8 II brings is two subwoofers compared to the unique subwoofer present on the models of the Bravia 8 series.
Bravia 5 mini-LED
The Sony Bravia 5 is the company’s new television series from the company and will be available in screen sizes of 55, 65, 75, 85 and 98 inch, making Bravia 5 the largest size option in the Sony TV 2025 range. These televisions use an XR processor and a Master Drive Backlight XR panel with up to six times more areas of local supermarket than the Sony X90L series, according to Sony. They also have calibrated studio and IMAX image modes.
On the audio side, Bravia 5 TVS has an acoustic multi-audio, which uses new magnetic tweeters positioned on the left and right sides of the TV frame as well as X-Firing tags speakers. There is also a synchronization function of the acoustic center which allows the television to operate as a central channel with a compatible Sony speaker system.
BRAVIA 2 II LED
The Sony Bravia 2 II is the new entry -level television series of the company and offers a LED display panel with an X1 4K processor which was previously used in the flagship televisions of the company. These models will be available in screen sizes of 43, 50, 55, 65 and 75 inch with Dolby Atmos and DTS: X Audio support.
Projector Bravia 7
The Sony Bravia Projector 7 is the new entry -level home theater projector in the company range, which also includes Bravia Projector 9 and Bravia Projector 8, our choice as the best premium game option in our best 4K projectors guide. The projector 7 is a native 4K laser model of 2200 Lumen which offers viewers a more compact and light projector option (28 lb) compared to the higher level models in the range of Sony Bravia projectors.
The projector 7 offers the same XR processor for the projector found in the company’s step-up models with XR Deep Black to improve contrast. The projector 7 is also well suited for the game, with a 4K 120Hz support on its double HDMI inputs and its low latency mode (AllM).
A new functionality making its debut on projector 7 is a mode of scaling the aspect ratio. This allows viewers to switch between 2.35: 1 and 16: 9 without any lens adjustment when using a Cinemascope screen by simply pressing a remote control button.
