The star of Indiana Fever, Sophie Cunningham, seemed to be struck by a sexual projectile toy in the Tuesday evening match against the sparks of Los Angeles. The incident came in the last minutes of the second quarter when the fever was preparing to hinder the ball.
This is the third moment of a green toy thrown in a WNBA court in recent weeks, in what has become an increasing trend. The first came in a match in Atlanta on July 29, and this happened in Chicago on August 1.

Now, the last incident also made Cunningham the victim the same day that she publicly deplored the idea that a player was affected by said object.

“Stop throwing dildos on the ground … You’re going to hurt one of us,” she wrote.
Cunningham shed light on the situation by going up this post after Tuesday’s match with the message: “It didn’t age well”.

Delbert Carver was sentenced to County County prison on Saturday in Georgia last Tuesday. The case of Carver, according to information online, is currently “pending”. He was released from prison on Sunday evening on bail.
“The security and well-being of all in our arenas are an absolute priority for our league. Objects of any type thrown on the field or in the lounge area may present a security risk for players, game officials and fans,” WNBA said in a statement.

“In accordance with the safety standards of the WNBA Arena, any fan who intentionally throws an object in the court will be immediately ejected and will face a minimum prohibition of one year in addition to being subject to arrest and prosecution by local authorities.”
