- Marvel’s Wolverine probably does not appear in today’s inventory
- Developer Insomniac Games hinted as much on social media
- News on the game is expected around “spring 2026”
You’d think today’s PlayStation State of Play presentation would be the perfect time for Insomniac Games to reveal more about its upcoming title, Marvel’s Wolverine. But you might be disappointed if you were expecting an appearance.
Despite wrapping up the last major State of Play presentation, it seems developer Insomniac Games isn’t quite ready to delve deeper into the subject. Wolverine from Marvel, whose launch is planned for 2026.
In response to a fan asking on X/Twitter when we can expect more information on Wolverine from Marvel, the official Insomniac Games account replied: “Spring 2026.”
Today, the winter months are coming to an end, but spring won’t officially begin until around mid-March, at least in the Northern Hemisphere. So, unless there is an imminent announcement of a Marvel’s Wolverine presentation during today’s State of Play, we probably won’t learn new details about the game for a few more months.
That’s not to say there won’t necessarily be some Marvel to enjoy during the State of Play presentation.
Some details for the next fighting game Marvel Tōkon: Fighting Souls was leaked on its official Steam page before being removed. It therefore seems likely that a more in-depth analysis will be proposed.
